Victoria Te You Moore, LCPC, CGP
Licensed Clinical Professional CounselorCertified Group PsychotherapistA longtime Chicagoan, I immigrated from China and have also lived in France and Japan. I draw on my full experience in management consulting, nonprofits, and the arts in my work as a therapist and am adept at working with people from varied backgrounds. I am astute, compassionate, and deeply committed to my clients' well-being. I engage my clients not only on the inner- and inter-personal levels, but also in the contexts of their intersecting roles and identities. I am attuned to the mutual influence that individuals and groups have on one another and the interconnectedness in life's pain and healing.
I specialize in group work and offer an in-person psychotherapy group as well as an in-person training group for clinicians. I have facilitated numerous psychotherapy and training groups, as well as taught group therapy and dynamics, in the U.S. and abroad. I provide clinical consultation to clinicians in the U.S. and China and have previously supervised clinical trainees at Northwestern University and the China American Psychoanalytic Alliance. I am involved with the American Group Psychotherapy Association, where I teach group therapy principles, and the Great Lakes Group Psychotherapy Society (formerly Illinois Group Psychotherapy Society), where I am a former board member.
I am fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and can supplement my work with advanced French and intermediate Spanish.
