Biyang Wang, LCSW

Biyang has always been drawn to people’s stories, not ones with a predictable plot line that culminates in a magical happily-ever-after, but those that speak the truth about the joys and complexities of being human, and where beauty is not in perfection, but in overcoming the struggle.

Biyang believes that therapy is a process that can provide tools to relieve immediate stress, but also an opportunity to explore the underlying meanings, behavioral patterns, and relationship dynamics in order to lead a life of authenticity and genuine fulfillment. Her therapeutic approach is strength-based, insight-oriented, trauma-informed, collaborative, and individualized to meet the unique needs of each client. She strives to cultivate an empathetic, supportive, and accepting environment for her clients to feel seen, while also challenged and inspired to take on new perspectives, ways of thinking, and daily practices.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from Princeton University, and her Master’s in Social Work from University of Chicago – Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice. She completed her post-graduate training with the Advanced Psychodynamic Fellowship Program at The University of Chicago.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) currently licensed in Illinois, California, New Jersey, Florida, and Washington DC, she provides Telehealth services to individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds, helping them achieve their highest aspirations in career, lifestyle, personal growth, and relationships.
